
Why we stopped building “disposable” heaters
Most bathroom infrared heaters are basically sealed boxes. That’s a problem. Because after five years of heavy use, a heating tube eventually burns out. And when that happens? The whole fixture usually ends up in a landfill. We thought that was crazy. So we did something different.
Thinking about the “long haul”
We decided to treat the heating element like a lightbulb—something you just swap out when it’s done. Instead of a permanent shell, we built a modular chassis. Now, if a tube fails, you don’t have to rip the entire unit off the wall. We used standard brackets and plug-and-play connectors because, let’s be honest, nobody wants to be soldering wires while balanced on a ladder in a cramped bathroom ceiling. You just pull the old module, slide in a new one, and you’re back in business in a few minutes. It’s that simple.
The heat struggle
Now, here is the tricky part. People want that immediate, “hit-you-in-the-face” warmth the second they step into the room. That requires shortwave infrared. But those high-wattage tubes get incredibly hot. If you put a powerful element in a cheap housing, the whole thing starts to warp. To stop that from happening, we used heat-resistant alloys for the frame. It handles the thermal load without breaking a sweat.
The real-world math
When you look at the big picture, this changes everything. Instead of hauling away a 50kg fixture, you’re just replacing a 200g tube. Over ten years, that saves a massive amount of money and a lot of headaches. You get your heat back without needing a full electrical overhaul. Sure, the modular frame is a bit wider than a welded one. You lose a few millimeters of space. But if you’re the person managing a facility, that’s a trade you make every single time. It turns a nightmare repair job into a quick, routine check.
